Sensitive and strong

This robot arm is so strong that it is able to use a drill. At the same time, its movements are so sensitive that it can also handle raw eggs. To enable the arm itself to be as hard-wearing as possible, its own weight has to be kept to a minimum. Furthermore, a high level of reliability on the part of the components deployed is vital. Consequently, the developers decided to use plain bearings, fixed flange bearings and thrust washers made of iglidur® G in the joints.
