Light and economical

Here, igus® plastic plain bearings have replaced classical roller bearings and stand up to environmental influences such as dirt and corrosion. Their low weight and favourable price gives them a decisive technical edge in bicycle frame design, even for off-road riding. The (still) relatively rare solution with plastic bearings is also a sales argument for the manufacturer, since lots of customers are enthusiastic about unusual solutions.
