An iglidur® PRT slewing ring bearing is used in a self-rotating headlight, as found in discos for example. Normally, sturdy ball bearing designs are used, but they have a higher weight. Not so the igus® slewing ring bearing, which is very light and also affordable. It has a low frictional resistance and is low maintenance, as the sliding surfaces do not have to be lubricated.
