Hot steam

These fully functional steam locomotives have been built to a scale of 1:11. A locomotive can pull up to 500 kilogrammes. The models are driven by steam produced in a coal-fired boiler at up to 8 bar. The design engineer replaced metallic bearings by iglidur® G plain bearings since these hardly wear at all. In addition, bearings made of iglidur® X are used for supporting the drive rods and coupling rods.
