More than 50,000 miles

This application concerns a conversion set for the wheel suspension on three-wheeled motorbikes, so-called trikes. Here, high-maintenance steel parts have been replaced by plastic bearings from igus®. No wear worth mentioning was found on the igus® bearings even after more than 50,000 miles of use. In addition, they only take half as long to fit, which means the overall manufacturing costs have been able to be reduced by seven percent.
