Renewable energy

This device uses wind power to generate electricity. The vertical wind turbine can generate up to 4,000 watts. The blades are mounted with iglidur® W300 plain bearings. The previously used metallic bearings needed lubrication as they were always exposed to wet conditions, so that the bearings started to rust. According to designer, the lubricant-free igus® bearings are ideal for this application.
