manus® 2011

Superimposed transmission

Fitted faster

In this application, plain bearings made of iglidur® Z replace a ball bearing and a needle bearing in a superimposed transmission. The transmission permits steering angles to be added by the rotary movement of an electric motor in the same or opposite direction in addition to the steering wheel angle chosen by the driver. One of the benefits of using lubricant-free plastic plain bearings is that it ensures the transmission can be fitted more quickly.
