Seam recognition sensor

Light and gray

This machine weaves and prints terry cloth hand towels. To correctly position the imprint, a special tactile sensor was needed that finds the seam on the uneven materials, without leaving an impression. The combination of an igus® plain bearing with a thin-walled metal sleeve enabled the construction of a lightweight sensor that also led to a cost saving of 40%.
