Reliable braking
An extremely light weight is the most important criterion when constructing a racing bike brake. For this reason, only iglidur® G plain bearings are used, which make it possible to reduce the weight of the brake to below 100 grammes. In addition, the brakes and thus the bearings are exposed to all kinds of environmental conditions and have to work reliably in heat, the wet or when covered in sludge. The maintenance freedom of the igus® bearings was a further important reason why they were chosen.
