Dirt-repellent and light

Riders of mountain bikes often expect their wheels to cope with a lot of dirt. In this application, metallic ball bearings and DU bushings have been replaced by lighter iglidur® flange bearings. The iglidur® bearings are dirt-repellent and corrosion-resistant. This allowed the maintenance intervals to be lengthened considerably, and the acquisition costs are lower than for metal bearings. A further advantage of the igus® bearings are the tight manufacturing tolerances.
