This machine can scan books fully automatically, with no human intervention required. The books can be sized up to the DIN A2 format and up to 100 millimetres thick. The first side of the page is photographed by the built-in digital cameras and saved, then the machine flips it over to process the other side. All the main elements of the mechanical movements, such as linear axes, plain bearings, sliding guides, etc., are performed by igus® products.
