iglidur® G | The all-rounder
The widest range of different requirements is covered by iglidur® G plain bearings. This is why the material is rightly described as universal. Applications with medium to high loads, medium sliding speeds and medium temperatures are recommended. iglidur® G is the decathlete among the iglidur® materials. Extraordinarily good in all technical disciplines and, above all, the classic all-rounder in terms of its general, mechanical, thermal and tribological properties.

Tolerances and measuring system
The installation dimensions and tolerances of the iglidur® plain bearings depend on the material and wall thickness. Moisture absorption and thermal expansion are decisive for the material. Plain bearings with low moisture absorption can be installed with low bearing clearance. The following applies to the wall thickness: The thicker the bearings are, the greater the bearing clearance must be.

Installation
iglidur® plain bearings are press-fit bearings. The inside diameter is only set with the corresponding tolerance after pressing into the housing bore. The press-fit interference can be up to 2% of the inside diameter. This ensures a secure press fit of the bearings. Axial or radial displacements in the housing are thus reliably avoided.
